About the Canon AF35M
Canon’s AF35M (1979) was sold as the Sure Shot in the US and the Autoboy in Japan, and Canon describes it as the first lens-shutter 35mm autofocus camera. It has a 38mm f/2.8 lens, active infrared autofocus and runs on two AA batteries. Only listings naming the AF35M are counted, since “Sure Shot” covers dozens of later models.
