About the Pentax 67
Introduced in 1969 as the Asahi Pentax 6×7 and renamed the Pentax 67 in 1990, it is a 35mm-style SLR scaled up for 6×7 cm on 120/220 film. It needs a 6V PX28-type battery to run its shutter. This guide prices the body only and excludes the 1999 Pentax 67 II.
What affects the price
- Completeness: body, back, finder and lens are often sold separately. Compare like with like.
- Film back light seals and spacing, and a shutter that fires at every speed.
- Haze or fungus in the lens and a clean focusing screen.
