Poshmark is part marketplace, part social network. Buyers follow closets, like listings and wait for offers, which makes it very different from search-first eBay. It rewards sellers who show up regularly, price with negotiation in mind and ship fast — and it punishes cheap items with a fee that can eat nearly a third of the sale.
Poshmark fees
| Sale price | Poshmark fee | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| $10 | $2.95 (29.5%) | $7.05 |
| $14 | $2.95 (21.1%) | $11.05 |
| $15 | $3.00 (20%) | $12.00 |
| $40 | $8.00 | $32.00 |
| $100 | $20.00 | $80.00 |
The fee is charged on the final sale price after any offer or discount, but not on the $6.49 shipping the buyer pays. There’s no listing fee and no separate payment processing fee. Two things reduce the number above:
- Shipping discounts you offer (on a listing, in an Offer to Likers or on a bundle offer) are deducted from your earnings.
- Texas sellers pay Texas sales tax on 80% of the Poshmark fee since October 1, 2025. On a $100 sale that’s 8.25% × $16 = $1.32 in Poshmark’s own example, depending on your local rate.
Price at $15, not $14
Because the flat fee flips to 20% at $15, a $15 sale nets you $12.00 and a $14 sale nets $11.05. If an item is worth about $14, list it at $15 or more and bundle it.Listing on Poshmark
- Photos: up to 16, with 1000×1000 (square) recommended. The cover photo is what shows in feeds and parties, so make it bright, centered and uncluttered. Poshmark also allows one video of up to 15 seconds.
- Title: up to 80 characters. Brand, item type, key style words and size. Poshmark buyers search by brand first.
- Brand, size and category fields drive filters and party eligibility — custom brands and custom sizes can’t be shared to parties.
- Description: measurements, material, condition and flaws. Poshmark doesn’t accept returns for fit, but a buyer can return an item that doesn’t match the description, so accurate measurements protect you (see our measuring guide).
- Price with room. Most Poshmark sales come through offers. Many sellers list 20–30% above the price they’d accept so an Offer to Likers or a counter still lands at their target (a habit, not a rule).
Sharing and Posh Parties
Sharing a listing pushes it to your followers’ feeds and to the top of your closet. Poshmark’s own “sell faster” tips still recommend sharing and Posh Parties, and in January 2026 it brought back bulk sharing so you can share a whole closet in one go. Poshmark doesn’t publish how shares affect search ranking, so don’t treat share counts as a score. For the history and habits, see why people share on Poshmark.
Posh Parties are themed shopping events (a brand, a category, a style) held live in the app. Eligible listings can be shared into the party from the listing’s Share button. Share your matching items early in the party, and focus on the parties that fit your inventory. Posh Party LIVE has been retired; Poshmark’s live selling now runs through Posh Shows, which any US seller can apply to host.
Offers, price drops and bundles
Offer to Likers
Your most important selling tool. When someone likes a listing you can send everyone who liked it an offer that must be at least 10% below the current price (or below the lowest offer that buyer has had on the listing in the past 90 days). It lasts 24 hours and includes a shipping discount paid from your earnings. If a buyer counters, the shipping discount drops off. Accepted offers are binding, and Poshmark’s Smart Sell setting can accept, counter and send offers automatically down to a minimum price you set.
Price drops
Dropping a listing’s price by at least 10% (measured from the lowest price it has ever had) notifies its likers. It’s a free nudge, but each drop has to beat the last one by 10%, so don’t burn them on small cuts.
Bundles
Set a closet-wide bundle discount (a percentage off for a minimum number of items) in Marketing & Promotions → Seller Discounts. A bundle ships for one $6.49 label as long as it’s under 5 lb, so bundles are how cheap items make sense on Poshmark: three $12 tops bundled at 15% off is a $30.60 sale with a $6.12 fee instead of three $2.95 fees. Since January 2026, Poshmark also combines separate orders from the same buyer placed within 24 hours.
Worked example
A dress listed at $48 gets eight likes. You send an Offer to Likers at $40 with a shipping discount. One buyer accepts:
- Poshmark fee: 20% × $40 = $8.00.
- Your earnings before the shipping discount: $32.00.
- Subtract the shipping discount you chose. The bigger the discount, the more the offer converts — and the more it costs you. Check your net before sending.
Shipping on Poshmark
Poshmark sends you a prepaid label as soon as an item sells. Since September 12, 2025 the buyer pays a flat $6.49 for USPS Ground Advantage up to 5 lb (down from $8.27 for Priority Mail). What sellers need to know:
- Heavy parcels: over 5 lb, you pay to upgrade the label — $5 for 5.01–10 lb, $10 for 10.01–15 lb — from the order page. Weigh boots, coats and bundles before accepting an offer.
- Packaging: free USPS Ground Advantage boxes and mailers can be requested from Seller Tools. Don’t use Priority Mail boxes: since October 12, 2025 Poshmark charges a $5 fee when you do.
- Ship fast. Cancelling more than 3% of orders in a rolling 90 days can now get your account restricted, under the January 2026 cancellation policy.
Setting labels to 4×6
Labels default to 8.5×11, but you can switch to 4×6 for a thermal printer — or choose a QR code and let the post office print it. In the app: Me → Seller Tools → Settings → Shipping Label Settings. On the web: Account Settings → Shipping Label Settings. Labels created before you switch keep their old size. For those, and for thermal printer settings, see our Poshmark 4×6 label page — the free FlipperTools extension crops full-page labels to 4×6 automatically.
Getting paid and authentication
Your earnings are released when the buyer accepts the order, or automatically three days after delivery. Items from select luxury brands selling for $500 or more go through Posh Authenticate: you ship to Poshmark first, they verify it for free and send it on, which adds a few business days.
What sells on Poshmark
Experience, not Poshmark data: women’s mall, contemporary and athleisure brands in the $20–$80 range are Poshmark’s core — think Lululemon, Free People, Anthropologie, Madewell, J.Crew and similar — along with women’s shoes, handbags and kids’ name brands. Men’s and home sell too but with a smaller buyer pool. What struggles: anything under $15 sold alone, unbranded basics, and items buyers search for by model number (those belong on eBay). Check the sold listings for your brand before assuming.
Common mistakes
- Listing single items under $15. $2.95 on a $10 sale is 29.5%. Bundle or crosslist.
- Pricing with no offer room. Buyers expect to negotiate; a listing at your floor price can’t accept an Offer to Likers.
- Forgetting the shipping discount in your math. It comes out of your 80%.
- Accepting an offer on a heavy bundle without weighing it. Over 5 lb, the upgrade is yours.
- Printing 8.5×11 labels on a thermal printer. Switch the setting once and save the paper.
- Obsessing over share counts. Share consistently, but spend the time on photos and offers.

FAQ
How much does Poshmark take in 2026?
A flat $2.95 on sales under $15, and 20% on sales of $15 or more, charged on the sale price only (not the shipping the buyer pays). Sellers with a Texas return address also pay Texas sales tax on 80% of that fee since October 1, 2025. There are no listing or payment processing fees.
How much is Poshmark shipping?
Since September 12, 2025 the buyer pays a flat $6.49 for a USPS Ground Advantage label covering up to 5 lb, and a bundle ships for one $6.49 fee if it stays under 5 lb. If the parcel is heavier, the seller pays to upgrade the label: $5 for 5.01–10 lb and $10 for 10.01–15 lb. Any shipping discount you offer comes out of your earnings.
How do I print Poshmark labels on 4×6?
Change your Shipping Label Settings to 4×6. In the app it is under the Me tab, Seller Tools, Settings, Shipping Label Settings; on the web it is under Account Settings, Shipping Label Settings. You can also choose a QR code instead of printing. Labels generated before you switch keep their old size.
Does sharing still matter on Poshmark?
Poshmark’s own selling tips still recommend sharing listings and joining Posh Parties, and it brought back bulk sharing in January 2026. Poshmark does not publish how sharing affects search ranking, so treat it as one habit among several: good photos, fair prices and sending offers to likers usually matter more than share counts.
What is an Offer to Likers on Poshmark?
It is an offer you send to everyone who liked a listing. It must be at least 10% below the current price (or below the lowest offer that buyer has had on the listing in the past 90 days), it lasts 24 hours, and it includes a shipping discount paid from your earnings. If a buyer counters, the shipping discount no longer applies.
When does Poshmark pay you?
Your earnings are released when the buyer accepts the order, or automatically three days after delivery if they do nothing. You can then withdraw by direct deposit, check, PayPal, Venmo or Instant Transfer.
