About the Pyrex Spring Blossom Mixing Bowl Set

Spring Blossom Green (1972–1978, redesigned 1979–1981), often called Crazy Daisy, has solid and outlined green flowers on white or the reverse. The nesting set is the 401 (1.5 pt), 402 (1.5 qt), 403 (2.5 qt) and 404 (4 qt), alternating white-on-green and green-on-white. Complete sets with unfaded color are worth more than partial sets.

What affects the price

  • Colour strength and gloss. Dishwasher detergent dulls and fades the paint, which is the biggest price factor.
  • Chips, cracks and utensil marks (grey scratches) inside the bowl.
  • Rare colourways and complete, matching sets sell for more than single bowls.
  • Reproductions and newer pieces exist; check the backstamp.
