About the Pyrex Verde Mixing Bowl Set

Verde (1967–1972) is a solid green line; in the 401–404 nesting set each bowl is a different shade, from yellow on the smallest to dark olive green on the 4-quart 404. Complete sets with glossy, unfaded color are worth more than partial sets.

What affects the price

  • Colour strength and gloss. Dishwasher detergent dulls and fades the paint, which is the biggest price factor.
  • Chips, cracks and utensil marks (grey scratches) inside the bowl.
  • Rare colourways and complete, matching sets sell for more than single bowls.
  • Reproductions and newer pieces exist; check the backstamp.
