About the Canonet QL17 GIII
Made from 1972 to 1982 and sold in over a million units, the Canonet QL17 G-III is a compact rangefinder with a fixed 40mm f/1.7 lens, shutter-priority auto exposure and full manual control. “QL” is Canon’s Quick Load film system. It was designed for a 1.35V PX625 mercury cell, so modern batteries need an adapter or a zinc-air substitute.
