About the Minolta Maxxum 7000
The Maxxum 7000 (1985) was the first SLR with both integrated autofocus and motorized film advance, and it launched the Minolta A-mount still used by Sony. It runs on four AAA batteries in a removable holder; early bodies carry a crossed-“XX” logo that Minolta changed after an Exxon objection.
