Print Mercari labels on a 4×6 thermal printer

Mercari has a 4×6 paper size, but it’s saved per order, and return labels and older labels still come out full-page. Here’s the setting, plus a free Chrome extension that crops the rest to 4×6.

  • Free, no account
  • Works with Rollo, Munbyn, Zebra & more
  • Label never leaves your computer

Can you print Mercari labels at 4×6? Yes, order by order.

On the order, go to Shipping information → Label → Set paper size → 4×6 and save. Mercari remembers that for the order, so the label comes out ready for a thermal printer.

  • Labels set to 4×6 before you download them print as-is
  • Labels already generated at 8.5×11 stay full-page
  • Return labels can come out the wrong size too
  • For those: crop the PDF to just the label, then print it at 4×6

The free fix: FlipperTools for Chrome

One small extension that does the cropping for you. It finds the label on the page, trims off the instructions and white space, turns it upright, and gives you a print-ready 4×6.

  1. 1

    Add it to Chrome

Install FlipperTools and switch on “Mercari 4×6 Labels”.

  2. 2

    Download your label

Download the label from the order on mercari.com. Full-page labels open already cropped.

  3. 3

    Print at 4×6

Hit Print. One sharp label, barcode at full size, ready for your thermal printer.

Your label is processed inside your browser. Your buyer’s address is never uploaded. Labels are cropped as vectors, so barcodes stay crisp and scan first time.

Thermal printer settings for Mercari labels

Once the label is cropped to 4×6, use these settings in the print dialog. They’re the same for Rollo, Munbyn, Zebra, Jadens, HPRT and other 4×6 thermal printers.

Paper / label size4×6 in (or 100×150 mm)
OrientationPortrait
Scale100% / “Actual size”, not “Fit to page”
MarginsNone
PagesAll (one label per page)

Still printing onto two labels? Set the scale to 95%. A hair of white border keeps everything on one label.

No extension? How to crop a Mercari label by hand

It works, it just takes a minute per label:

On a Mac (Preview)

  1. Open the Mercari PDF in Preview.
  2. Drag a box around just the label.
  3. Tools → Crop (⌘K).
  4. If it’s landscape, Tools → Rotate Left.
  5. Print with the settings above.

On Windows

  1. Open the PDF and zoom so the label fills the screen.
  2. Snipping Tool (Win + Shift + S) around the label.
  3. Paste into Photos or Paint, rotate if needed.
  4. Print on 4×6 with “Fit picture to frame”.
  5. Check the barcode isn’t blurry before you stick it on.

The screenshot route works, but it’s lower resolution than the original PDF, so barcodes can scan badly. The extension crops the PDF itself, so nothing gets blurry.

Mercari label FAQ

How do I print a Mercari label at 4×6?+

Open the order, go to Shipping information → Label → Set paper size, choose 4×6 and save. The label is then generated at 4×6 for your thermal printer.

Why is my Mercari label still printing full-page?+

The paper size is saved on the order, so a label generated at 8.5×11 stays that way. Return labels and labels you downloaded before changing the size are the usual culprits. The FlipperTools extension crops those to 4×6.

Why does my Mercari label print tiny, huge or cut off?+

It’s a mix of the paper size saved on the Mercari order and your print settings. Use a 4×6 label, then print at 100% scale with no margins, not “fit to page”.

Does it work with Rollo, Munbyn, Zebra, Jadens and HPRT printers?+

Yes. The cropper outputs a standard 4×6 inch PDF that any 4×6 thermal label printer can print.

Is it free? Is my label uploaded anywhere?+

It’s free with no account, and the label is cropped inside your own browser. Your buyer’s address never leaves your computer.
